The Verge SWFL Band

We will be back rocking soon. In the meantime, everyone stay safe.
It’s time to listen. It’s time to learn. It’s time to stop fighting and disagreeing. It’s time to see we are all connected and only here for a short time. It’s time to make that short time count. It’s time to change. Let’s hit the reset button and start anew.

The Verge SWFL Band

We would like to thank Stottlemyer's Smokehouse for understanding at this time, our decision to hold off playing for a while. Stottlemyer's has always been our "home base" and having to cancel tonight was not an easy decision. Dean, Steve, and all the staff have been family to us and we will be back April 14th! In the meantime, if you want to go to a place that not only has great food and staff, go to Stottlemyers to support a place that supports local music better than anyone else in town!! ... We would like like to express our extreme gratitude to Paragon Festivals for working with us and understanding our position with holding off on playing the St Paddy's Festival. CANCELATION OF UPCOMING SHOWS

After consideration of the current COVID-19 situation, The Verge has decided that it’s in the best interest of our band members and for our audiences to cancel (including tonight's performance) the remainder of our shows in the month of March. We appreciate the understanding of Paragon Festivals, and our home base venue, Stottlemeyer’s Smoke House for understanding and supporting our decision.

This decision does not come easy nor do we take lightly the ramifications and understand that it causes our agents and venues additional work to find replacements to complete these obligations.

Our reason for this decision is as I mentioned, for the well-being of bandmates as well as the many people we come in contact with. This is not a decision based on fear nor panic but rather based on no certainty of the situation except that we are at the beginning of this pandemic. In a few weeks, we will be able to evaluate the direction COVID-19 and adhere to the recommendations of state and national health departments.
In the meantime, it is important that we all remain healthy and care for one another. We are all in this together and hopefully, as a society, we can help each other, not panic, follow the health system guidelines to manage the transmission and hopefully provide care for our friends and family who have taken ill.

We appreciate your understanding of our decision and look forward to seeing you in the future once we move through these difficult times. Please stay healthy!
